The Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy’s 2016 Pharmacy Forum took stock of community pharmacy's adaptation to the new reality of an expanded scope of practice in an environment of lower profit margins and reduced provincial funding for distribution.

Our expert panels and breakout table discussions generated lively debate and fresh perspectives on the future of community pharmacy during this time of unprecedented change. Mark Burdon, pharmacy owner and member of the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee in the U.K., shared lessons learned from the roller-coaster negotiations between pharmacy and government in his country.
